In principle, we are happy to provide loans for exhibition projects. As the Museum für Franken is facing particular restoration and logistical challenges in the course of the renovation of the Marienberg Fortress and the redesign of the museum, we are currently having to turn down most requests. We regret this very restrictive situation and ask for your understanding.

The information is free of charge, written expert opinions and information on the estimated value are not possible. Since January 1, 2017, the Museum für Franken - Staatliches Museum für Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte in Würzburg, formerly the Mainfränkisches Museum, has been converted into a state museum. In future, it will cover the whole of Franconia, including the history of Würzburg, and the collection horizon will be extended to the present day through systematic new acquisitions, donations and bequests from private collections. The museum collection includes testimonies to the history of Franconia, which are to be preserved permanently and are also available for research and exhibition purposes.
