Tour: What Does Climate Change Mean for Agriculture?

On Thursday, October 15, at 4:00 p.m., Anne and Peter Kraft will lead a tour on the topic of “(Climate) Change in Agriculture” through the exhibition “Geht Grad° so – Climate in Lower Franconia” at the Museum für Franken.

In agriculture, the demands of dealing with climate change, economic viability, and modern farming practices are growing. This joint guided tour in German language addresses this area of tension. The couple has different perspectives on the topic.
Peter Kraft runs a farm with 120 hectares of cropland and livestock in Stadelhofen, a district of Karlstadt. His farm serves as a demonstration farm for water, soil, and climate protection for the Karlstadt Office of Agriculture. Anne Kraft, who heads the Museum Division within the Department of Cultural Affairs and Local Heritage Preservation for the District of Lower Franconia, has developed the current exhibition “Geht Grad° so? Climate in Lower Franconia” in collaboration with the Museum für Franken. The exhibition centers on the question of whether new perspectives for addressing current global warming can be gained from humanity’s relationship with the climate in the past.
The tour on October 15 offers fascinating insights into historical developments and current challenges, and invites visitors to discuss the future of agriculture in the region.
