„Archäologische Jahr in Bayern“
Book presentation at the Museum für Franken
On Friday, May 22, at 5:30 p.m., the current "Archäologische Jahr in Bayern" will be presented at the Museum für Franken. This joint publication by the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments and the Society for Archaeology in Bavaria presents the most exciting excavations and archaeological projects in Bavaria every year.
As part of the book presentation, two archaeologists give an exclusive insight into projects in Lower Franconia in short presentations: On the one hand, they will shed light on the BLfD's research at the historical execution sites in Altenstein (Haßberge district) and, on the other, the excavations at the mikvah in Aub (Würzburg district).
The public is cordially invited to the book presentation. The event is free of charge. Please register informally by e-mail to bs@museum-franken.de or by calling 0931/20 594 20.
With this and similar events, the Museum für Franken invites the public to take part in scientific networking. The museum has set itself the task of forming research networks, acting as a competence center for cultural heritage in the region and offering itself as a contact point for exchange with colleagues and interested parties.
