For the thirteenth time, 19 Lower Franconian museums with different concepts and focuses are swapping their art for a summer. 19 exhibits are presented in a new, regional setting, in a different atmosphere and context
The Lower Franconian museums invite you to see art in other, unfamiliar contexts and discover new museums.

When art shows its colors, it doesn't just have to be colorful and cheerful, it can also take a stand and express an opinion. Perhaps it confronts the viewer with something unpleasant, but perhaps it also seduces them to enjoy it.
With these thoughts in mind, sixteen Lower Franconian museums invited visitors to see art in other, unfamiliar contexts from 22 July to 8 November 2020, to discover new museums and to experience the whole of Lower Franconia in all its colorful glory. At the same time, the tenth anniversary of the unique "Kunst geht fremd" network was celebrated.
