Miracles for Franconia
Miracle collector Marc Haselbach on the road in the Kronach region
June 12 to July 23, 2023
Do you have one of the Kronach
miracles in your home?
With the "Wonders for Franconia" project, the Museum für Franken is embarking on an artistic and cultural tour of the region during the renovation of the Marienberg Fortress in Würzburg and the redesign of the museum premises. Until the reopening planned for 2032, stations will be set up in public spaces - always in the summer months for a period of five to six weeks - at changing locations in Lower, Middle and Upper Franconia, where the local population can name, tell or hand in "wonders". At the same time, this is an opportunity to present the Museum für Franken for the first time with a mobile art campaign in the entire region.
The "Wonders for Franconia" project focuses on the active and creative participation and involvement of people. We are interested in their personal experiences, stories and memories.
Day
of Miracles
Miracle collector Marc Haselbach's aim is to collect "miracles", i.e. objects that have a special meaning for their owner, and present them in a joint exhibition on the last day of the project - the "Day of Miracles". All miracle-givers are then invited to tell the special stories that turn their possessions into miracles. Anyone from Kronach and the surrounding area can take part.
"It's not like
that I take them all home with me
- I'd have too many wonders."
