With our "Dig it!" game app, you can playfully explore the grounds of Marienberg Fortress and the Museum für Franken in both English and German. Take a look behind the high walls and immerse yourself in life at the castle at different times! You can take part in a parade for the prince-bishop, support the Swedish troops during the storming of the fortress or take part in an excavation.

The museum also needs help for the upcoming move: can you find all the objects? Collect them, because a reward awaits successful explorers at the end!

"Dig it!" is an experience for anyone who wants to explore the fortress grounds with their own smartphone. You can also play the app from the comfort of your own home! It can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store free of charge and ad-free. German and English can be selected as the language in the app.

The media guide was created in cooperation with Lengfeld elementary school and Linon Medien. In dialog with a narrator, children explain selected objects in their own way – it's great fun, and not just for young visitors! You can borrow the media guide free of charge from the museum ticket office.

The geocache in the museum presents exciting puzzles to be solved in several exhibition rooms and at various stations. If the mission is successful, you can unlock a treasure chest. This is an unusual way to explore the museum and turn your visit into an adventure.

There are many interactive stations on the individual museum tour that invite you to join in. From the coat of arms puzzle to dressing up or the medieval writing station, fun for the whole family awaits.
