We cater to individual needs and experiences – just ask.
For hearing-impaired people
Induction systems make it easier to hear and ensure a relaxed visit to the museum.
All guided tours can take place with a group tour system if required. The guide's voice is either transmitted to headphones or to the hearing aid.
There is a multimedia tour in German sign language.
Induction coils for the media guide can be borrowed free of charge from the museum ticket office. These transmit the audio directly to your hearing aid.
For blind and visually impaired people
Special guided tours make the museum experience exciting and tangible for blind and visually impaired people.

Persons: max. 10 (incl. accompanying persons)
Price: 60 euros, plus regular admission per person
The highlights of our collection can be explored in a multi-sensory way. Original historical objects and replicas can be touched and felt: From Stone Age tools to medieval stone sculptures and Baroque velvet dresses, you can feel your way through the eras.
An exciting tour of the fortress and the museum is all about knights and castles. The dimensions of the keep are measured, the weight of a knight's helmet considered and the pointed hat of a lady of the castle tried on.
Archaeological finds from Franconia are discovered. They bear witness to the lives of our ancestors. With numerous tactile samples, replicas and reconstructed tools, you can immerse yourself in the world of the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages.
For people with and without dementia
Guided tour and get-together for people with and without dementia in the exhibition of the Museum für Franken.
We offer you a multi-sensory guided tour on the subject of "Time travel in the Middle Ages". You can feel knights' armor, try on castle ladies' hats or smell medieval spices. We would be happy to develop a program to suit your group. Just get in touch with us.
In cooperation with halma e. V., we also regularly organize events for people with and without dementia.
