At the Museum für Franken, even our youngest visitors have plenty to discover! All programmes encourage children to participate and try things out for themselves. We are happy to accommodate your individual wishes.

Topics for 3 to 4-year-olds
"Im Bild" ("In the picture") is a programme for 3- to 4-year-old first-time explorers at our museum. It was developed in close collaboration with the Lindflur Kindergarten and is perfectly tailored to the needs and experiences of preschool children. Of course, hands-on activities, trying things out, and active participation are all part of the fun!
Important: Each child should bring a photo of themselves with a parent.
Topics for preschool
A tour of the fortress teaches a lot about the different functions of a castle: living space, refuge, landmark. The program is supplemented by the famous inhabitants of the castle, such as knights, ladies-in-waiting and prince-bishops. You can touch or try on the knight's helmet, pointed hat and bishop's crook.
The museum's beautiful exhibits and historic rooms are perfect for all kinds of fairy tales and exciting stories.
Lions, dragons and a sneaky fly are hiding in the museum. Let's track them down! We also look at fables and playfully get to the bottom of the symbolic power of one animal or another.
Precious treasures and tricky locked treasure chests reveal secrets. On this discovery tour, treasures are viewed and sometimes discovered: All that glitters is not gold!
