Exciting guided tours that spark curiosity. Fun surprises lurking behind thick walls. Ancient secrets uncovered in the museum.
There is so much for children and young people to discover at the Museum für Franken! All programs encourage children to join in and try things out for themselves. The programs are age-appropriate and offer the opportunity to understand history and art. Having fun and learning new things go hand in hand.
We are happy to cater to individual wishes and offer various focal points or workshops for our programs.

Themes
Archaeology provides insights into the origins of human settlement history and further development in the Neolithic and Bronze Ages. Participants can try out craft achievements from weaving to drilling stones.
From Fibula to Terra Nigra - original finds provide an insight into the world of the Romans. Many works of art tell stories of Roman mythology.
Did druids perform human sacrifices and did warriors wear striped pants? Celtic rites and fashions are explored using source texts and archaeological objects.
Wigs, hoop skirts and lace jabots allow pupils to immerse themselves in the Baroque world. Absolutism, court etiquette and the art of the time are brought to life.
As an introduction to everyday life, zeitgeist and rule in the Middle Ages, three of five selectable stations can be explored:
